Ancient archeological sites of Mongolia

Day 1. Ulaanbaatar

Arrival in Mongolia and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure.

Day 2. Ulaanbaatar tour

After breakfast begin guided city tour including Gandan Monastery- the heart of Mongolian Buddhism, Chinggis Khaan square, lunch, National museum of Mongolia, Zaisan hill and national folklore show followed by dinner. End of the tour transfer back to hotel. (BLD)

Day 3. Flight to Ulgy town

Transfer to the airport for the flight to Ulgy town. Upon landing at Ulgy town pick up from the airport and visit of local museum. After lunch head to the Khatuu area rich with ancient burial sites, pertoglyphes and deer stones. Tented night. (BLD)

Day 4. Khultsoot area

In the morning head to Khultsoot area (120km). Here we can find more than 3000 ancient rock drawings dated back to bronze age. Tented night. (BLD)

Day 5. Tsengel Khairkhan mountain

Head to Tsengel Khairkhan mountain and visit kazak family with domesticated eagles. Learn more about this ancient culture. Spend night with family.

Day 6. Ulgy town

Head back to Ulgy town. On the way visit ancient Turkish monuments erected in 5-7 century. Spend the night in the ger camp.

Day 7. Fly back to Ulaanbaatar

Fly back to Ulaanbaatar city. Rest of the day in leisure.

Day 8. Departure

Transfer airport.
