Trekking in Tavan Bogd National Park
Day 1. Ulaanbaatar
Meet at the airport upon arrival and transfer to the hotel.
Day 2. Flight to Ulgy town
Transfer to airport for the flight to Ulgy town. Upon arrival transfer to Khokh khotol area for 100km. tented night (BLD)
Day 3. Eki achaa
After breakfast continue drive to Eki achaa for 130km. Here we see pertoclyphes and ancient man like stone figures. Tented night. (BLD)
Day 4. Trekk to Tavan Bogd National Park
In the morning begin trekking to Tavan Bogd National Park for 20km. Spend night at local kazak family. Nomadic Kazak families have special tradition. They hunt with trained eagles. Tented night near family. (BLD)
Day 5. Tsagaan river
Head to Tsagaan river for 20km. Tented night near Tsagaan river. (BLD)
Day 6. Trekk to Shiveet Khairkhan mountain
After breakfast continue trekking to Shiveet Khairkhan mountain for 30km. The area is reach in petroglyphes. Tented night. (BLD)
Day 7. From Shiveet khairkhan mountain to Khatuu area
From Shiveet khairkhan mountain to Khatuu area is 50km but we walk half it by foot and rest we drive. Tented night. (BLD)
Day 8. Trekk towards to Mogoit area
In the morning continue trekking towards to Mogoit area for 30km and drive more 30 to designated place. Tented night. (BLD)
Day 9. Khovd river
To reach Khovd river distance is 40km but we walk for 20km to our camp site. Tented night. (BLD)
Day 10. Drive to Ulgy town
Today is last day of trekking. About 20km walk we get back the car and drive to Ulgy town another 80km. Overnight in the ger camp. (BLD)
Day 11. Flight to Ulaanbaatar
Transfer to airport for the flight to Ulaanbaatar city. On arrival transfer to hotel. Rest of the at leisure. (B)
Day 12. Departure
Transfer to airport or train station for international departure.
