Climbing on mount Tsamba Garav Bogd
ABOUT TOUR
During this trip you’ll see western Mongolian landscape, snow covered mountains and Khazakh nomads lifestyle. The mount Tsamba Garav is about 90 km north east from Ulgii city & the highest point is 4193 m ASL. This mountain is easier for climbing than the mount Tavan bogd and would be not too hard for new climbers & elderly climbers. Climbing condition will go on steep slope ( 45° ) hard snow.
You wouldn’t make a big effort for this climb but you need good enough physical condition, experience to use your equipment. Because of some hidden crevasses.
Temperature might be –0° C during the night so you need warm sleeping bag.
But some times very warm when it is not windy and sunny day and you’ll need sun block cream.
Day 1. Ulaanbaatar
Arrival at UB and transfer to the hotel, sightseeing of the town & City tour, visit of some museums, art gallery and In the evening to see concert folklore ( NWT )
Day 2. Flight to Ulgii city
After breakfast flight to Ulgii city, Arrive at the Ulgii city then drive to the mount Tsamba Garav Over night camping 90 km Ulgii to base camp place .
Day 3. Preparation
Preparation for the climbing and acclimatization around the base camp.
Day 4. Hiking
Make high camp. 3-4 hours hiking
Day 5. Summit day
Summit day & it takes about 5 hours to the peak then descend to camp the base camp..
Day 6. Drive to Ulgii city
Drive to Ulgii city. Visit of the local museum and Kazakh families and experience their life in Over night at the local hotel.
Day 7. Flight to Ulaanbaatar
Flight to Ulaanbaatar and transfer to the hotel ( NWT )
Day 8. Free time
Free time in UB for shopping & visit Gandan monastery and in the evening farewell dinner
Day 9. Departure
Departure to home.
